I LOVE my family, my dog, words, organizing things, the privilege of giving, talking with my husband and kids, God, recipes, ideas, America, the blessing of good friends, writing, a warm fire, my husband’s laugh, the wind, thinking, mountains, research, my laptop, Rock & Roll, our turtles, snow, historic houses, my morning coffee, singing, big comfy sweaters, growing things, classic literature, tradition, murder mysteries, genealogy, watching my children sleep, history, the Internet, movies and talking to myself…
3. Having A&E’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ playing on the TVwhile I’m doing other things is my ‘drug’.
4. I grew up in NJ, then as an adult lived in NY, CT, NM, MT, VA, MO and want to make Maine our next and final move.
5. I was lead singer in a band for 5 years.
6. I like being home.
7. I love genealogy and tracing my Acadian, Irish, Austrian, Czech and Ukranian ancestry.
8. I miss my family in NJ.
9. I take tons of pictures and study the faces and backgrounds of old photos, coaxing out the stories they tell.
10. I have the most incredible kids and I am proud and honored to be their Mom!
11. I hate crowds, intolerance, hypocrisy, envy, injustice, traffic, snobs, prejudice, misspelled words, small spaces, sad movies, stressed out people, math and hot weather.
12. My hobbies are decorating my house, reading, counted cross stitch, knitting, writing and fabric fabric fabric – the feel, the texture, the colors!
13. I became a Christian when I was 43.
14. My dog Ginger keeps me as balanced, calm and sane as I can be…
15. I have a BFA in Theatre Design.
16. I work as an assistant to an interior decorator/designer.
17. My husband and I are usually on the same page except when it comes to exercise…
18. I met my husbandon a blind date when I was 34.
19. I worked in the North Tower at the World Trade Center and was a programmer analyst for Merrill Lynch in NY.
20. Our first daughter Alaina died of heart and brain damage (holo pros encephaly) when she was four days old.
21. I enjoy cooking and baking and tend to eat too much of what I make-it tastes sooo good…
22. Our church family and the awesome youth group at Salem Evangelical Free Church is an amazing blessing in my life.
23. I live for a TRUE QUALITY bargain; yard sales, estate sales and antique shops and occasionally a ‘treasure’ put out for garbage pickup…..
24. I am blessed with my family and freinds.
25. I want to learn French, the language of my ancestors, before I die. My Grammy in Maine had the best French accent…
