Here is some exciting news! Take heart, all you computer gaming, tech nerd kids and their parents who have despaired of their gaming genius offsprings endless hours in front of their XBOX 360s.
Dakota State University is planning to offer an undergraduate degree in computer game design, possibly as early as this fall. The bachelor of science degree program would put DSU’s College of Business and Information Systems in concert with the College of Arts and Sciences, combining programming/computer science and the creative aspects of digital art and design.
It will be interesting to see how quickly and how many other universities will follow suit.
Pretty exciting stuff for the technologically savvy kid but if you just enjoy playing the games, better stick with the degree in business.
