In the movie ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ by Frank Capra, young George Bailey’s boss, Mr. Gower the druggist, has given him a prescription to deliver to a sick neighborhood boy. George realizes that Mr. Gower has been drinking, after just receiving a telegram informing him of the death of his son. Without realizing it, Mr. Gower has put poison in the capsules instead of the intended drug and is expecting George to make the delivery. As George is leaving the drugstore with the poison pills, he sees the poster hanging in the drugstore that says “Ask Dad, he knows”. George immediately runs to his father’s office for advice on what to do about Mr. Gower and the pills.
January 1947, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ opened to an audience in a simpler world where Mom and Dad had the answers.

One of my all time favorite movies, it gets me a little misty-eyed every Christmas. I even know this guy who has at least seven copies of the movie, go figure???
